Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Scholarship Program has a new name and a new, refreshed mandate. The refreshed scholarship program will send 70,000 Saudi students abroad to top-ranked universities and training institutes by 2030. They’ll go to not just any schools but to 200 approved foreign institutions…. Eligible students will be streamed into one of four paths under the new strategy – the Pioneers Path, the Research & Development Path, the Providers Path, and the Promising Path. The hosts discuss these changes within the context of the decades-long history of the program, King Abdullah’s legacy, and why the new program makes sense for a changing Saudi Arabia.
